Who We Are

Building Bridges is a University of Maryland College Park sponsored organization that aims to improve the quality of life and the mental, emotional, and physical health of disadvantaged groups of people, both within the United States and internationally. Team members include undergraduate and graduate students, physicians, nurses, public health officials, and other professionals from other disciplines. Building Bridges is founded on the idea that dedication, service, medical assistance, health awareness, and community service projects will build communities and reach out to those in need, while enhancing humanity. This is the driving force behind our mission. The sole purposes of Building Bridges are to not only build a bridge between the underserved and effective healthcare but to build a bridge between one human to another.
