Native American Integration

Project

There are certain diseases and conditions that commonly affect the Native American population at a greater rate and/or severity, such as HIV/AIDS, diabetes, alcoholism, and depression. For the reason that fresh fruits and vegetables are deficient, Type 2 Diabetes are starting to occur in Native children as young as 3! Health education and patient care is key. For that reason, in the winter of 2007/2008, Building Bridges, along with Evolution Revolution, plans to travel to Native American reservations to educate and to assist in clinics. Members can expect to work hard in clinicals during the days and empowerment workshops during the evenings. We are now accepting team members on a first come, first serve basis. Stay tuned for more details in the future!
