Studies have shown that only twenty-five to thirty percent of our life span is determined by genetics. The other seventy to seventy-five percent of our lifespan is completely impacted by the economic, social, and the biophysical environment which we live in. It is this environment that reflects disparities in healthcare and the health conditions of underserved individuals. Suffering and death from lack of food, shelter, and/or medical care is an atrocious reality for many. Fortunately, attainable solutions exist to these adversities and the better news is, we can make a difference!
